 The Story Behind IncludEDU

Meet our team

At IncludEDU, each of us brings unique experiences and motivations to this work. Still, we are united by a shared goal: to create tools, awareness, and opportunities that empower all learners to thrive. Please get to know the people behind our mission.

Isabella Guan

Founder & President

Hi, my name is Isabella Guan, the founder and president of IncludEDU. I am passionate about neurodiversity and founded this nonprofit as a platform for advocacy and support for ALL children. I especially want to provide resources for students often underserved in traditional educational spaces. Beyond this, I work towards bringing awareness and have created Read Buddy, an interactive reading app, and Focus Mind, a digital toolkit for students with ADHD or attention difficulties.

Larry Cui

Vice President

Hello, my name is Larry Cui, the Vice President of IncludEDU. I am deeply passionate about supporting children with ADHD and ensuring they receive equal access to quality education. My motivation stems from annual voluntary teaching trips to rural schools in the mountains of China from 2013 to 2025. Many of the children I met faced not only limited resources but also challenges with focus and learning, often linked to ADHD. These experiences inspired my commitment to developing innovative solutions, such as our ADHD-supportive earplugs, to help students in underserved communities. We aim to begin by assisting children in remote regions of China and eventually expand our efforts globally. I firmly believe that every child, regardless of background or ability, can thrive with the proper support.

Wendy Liu

Vice President of Operations

Hello, my name is Wendy Liu, the Vice President of Operations of IncluEDU. I have long held a deep interest in psychology and neuroscience. While I was previously aware of ADHD, my understanding of its underlying causes and neurological basis significantly deepened after studying AP Psychology and participating in the BrainBee competition. Through this experience, I developed a comprehensive understanding of the pathology of ADHD and became more aware of the large number of individuals affected by it. Motivated by this knowledge, I am committed alongside my teammates to supporting those living with ADHD and working to ease the challenges they face.

Penny Liang

Vice President of Finance

Blessings, my name is Penny Liang, the Vice President of Finance of IncludEDU. I am committed to creating meaningful change through this project. My passion for helping others began at 13 when I started volunteering, and it has only grown stronger over the years. Recently, my aunt gave birth to a child after years of trying, but the baby was diagnosed with ADHD. This personal experience inspired me to support children with learning differences. I believe our work's impact would extend far beyond individual families. I am dedicated to helping bring compassion, support, and equal opportunities to children with ADHD worldwide.
